Board and Care Homes Wylie Texas

Testimony
My mother, lived at the community in which Yolanda served as Executive Director. My Mom passed away January 29, 2020. During that time we were so lucky to have Yolanda in our lives for the last year of Mom’s life.
I felt that Yolanda deeply cared about the residents. She was always available to family members for consultation regarding their status and their changing needs and abilities. It was evident she had experience and could assess situations that needed changing quickly. Her goal was to maximize their experience and keep them safe. She often participated in activities with the residents and seemed to enjoy that. She was a visible presence that was a comfort to us all. The community ran smoothly under Yolanda’s leadership and I knew that my mother was safe and in the best place she could be.
At the end of Mom’s life Yolanda was a strong support and made several suggestions for her care that were important in helping to get hospice care started. She was there for our family at the end and I will always be grateful to her for it.
When someone cares about their work and is experienced, it shows and I feel that Yolanda did an exceptional job because of that.

Yolanda,
We appreciate the love and care you’ve shown our father. From making him feel special by asking him to be Santa (which he very much enjoyed) to assisting with his transition back to our home. You became a trusted voice for him, your advice was so important to him. It’s comforting to know that there are people like you that sincerely care for the wellbeing of the elderly.

Testimony
Yolanda has a heart of gold.
Every ounce of her being is about serving her clients and making sure you get exactly what’s right for you — at least that’s been my experience with her helping me with my 93-year-old mom. Yolanda listened intently to our concerns and needs, she asks great questions, and her advice has always been spot on. Working with Yolanda has made me feel safe and comfortable with some difficult choices, which I deeply appreciate especially when it comes to caring for my precious and vulnerable mom.

Dear Yolanda,
Thank you for the support and comfort you provided during this time of sorrow. I was very close to my dad, and his passing was a shock to my family. It was very comforting to have your expertise, guidance, and support during these difficult times. You truly care for people and it shows.

Benefits of Working With A Gerontologist & Geriatric Care Manager Call 949-346-5960
Assistance from a Geriatric Care Manager in Wylie, Rowlett, Rockwall or North Texas with ongoing monitoring can prevent costly crises and unnecessary hospitalization. Geriatric Care Managers can be especially helpful when family members live far apart or when there are family dynamics and a facilitator is needed. Sometimes seniors are fearful of losing their independence and they don’t feel comfortable sharing their fears and concerns with their loved one. A Geriatric Care Manager will act as a liaison with families to help maintain good communication with families and other support systems to build or maintain important links between seniors and their families and, with permission, to alert families to problems areas that they may be able to assist with.
Geriatric Care Managers can reduce inappropriate institutional care and overuse of services as well as reduce miscommunications, time, stress, and cost to clients.
